Sunscreens: My 5 Faves and Why

Following up on last week’s blog about Melanoma I wanted to share some of my favourite sunscreens. Sunscreen use is important for staying safe in the sun and preventing burns, which are a leading cause of melanoma development. Especially burns in childhood.

As a Chiropractor I am passionate about the health of the spine and nervous system. The topic of sunscreens is important to me because many of the sunscreens on the market today are full of chemicals and chemicals are a stress to the spine and nervous system. As often as possible I choose to purchase natural products for my family to minimize our exposure to these toxins.

Here are some of the key things I look for in a sunscreen:

  • Fragrance free
  • Natural
  • Zinc oxide
  • Easy to apply

Bonus Points for:

  • Gluten-Free
  • Vegan
  • Award-winning
