Chiropractic...A Self Care Strategy for Mothers

Most people associate Chiropractic with some sort of pain. Typically, it is low back or neck pain, sometimes it is headaches. Not many equate it with being a self-care tool for mothers. Let’s change that.

I love being a mother. It is the one thing that I always knew I wanted to do (or should I say be) in my life. What I didn’t realize when I embarked on this journey was what an incredibly demanding job it is. For me the transition to motherhood has come as a bit of a surprise and eight years later I have a few (or many) gray hairs. It’s amazing how quickly parenting can age us. Here are just some of the physical and emotional demands that come with mothering:

It is easy for us to spread ourselves too thin and to be honest most of us past that point long ago. However, as the years pass this “running on empty” phenomena can catch up with us and the body can have trouble adapting to all the things. This breaking point is the point of entry for most women in my practice, but it doesn’t have to be that way for you.
